The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight was formed in July 1957 and showcase the Nation's Aviation Heritage.
The Flight, part of the Royal Air Force, are based at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.

This aircraft experienced an engine failure shortly after takeoff from RAF Coningsby on 25th May 2024. Crashing in a field, it flipped over and was destroyed, unfortunately resulting in the death of the pilot, Sqn Ldr Mark Long.
