DEMONSTRATION TEAM

RNZAF Black Falcons

The Black Falcons is the aerobatic display team of the Royal New Zealand Air Force and is flown by qualified Flying Instructors of the Central Flying School and No.14 Squadron.

The original team was first formed in 2000 using 5no. Aermacchi MB-339CB flown by 14 Squadron instructors, but disbanded after just 5 displays in 2001. The Central Flying School (CFS) started flying the Beechcraft T-6 Texan in January 2016, sharing with No. 14 Squadron. The previous RNZAF display team 'the Red Checkers' were disbanded and the Black Falcons formed, with their debut performance at their home base RNZAF Ohakea for the RNZAF 80th Anniversary Air Tattoo .
